What Is Programming Language ?

Programming language is a computer language, Which is used in software development, Script or other set of instruction for a computer to execute.

A program is written as a series of human understandable computer instruction that can be read by the compiler and translate into machine code, So that a compiler understand and run it.

Note: Programming Language changes the language of software.

What Is C Language ?

C Programming Language is the system based language , Which is used to create either System Software or Application Software.
Whatever program is created by this language i.e, executed on the Microsoft DOS.
It contains the Compiler as a translator.
By the help of translator the human readable data is changed into the machine readable data and vice versa.
‘C’ Language is developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie in Bell Laboratory.
The C Programming Language is also called Procedural Language or Structured language.

What Is Translator ?

It is the Software, Which is used to convert one language to another language.
According to the Language it has been divided into three parts:
  1.  Assembler
  2. Compiler
  3. Interpreter

What Is Assembler ?

The translator which always depends on the Assembly Language is called Assembler.
It is used to convert the Mnamonics into Machine language and vice versa.
Such as – A0, A1 etc.

What Is Compiler ?

It is the translator which always depends on the high level language.
Generally it is used to convert the high level programming language into low level language.
It reads the whole data at a time and convert them.
Such as – Turbo C2, Turbo C2, Turbo C++, Java, Borland, MSIL etc.

What Is Interpreter ?

It is the translator which is used to convert the high level language into low level language and vice versa.
It reads the data line by line and convert them.
Such as – Java, Applet Viewer etc.

Structure Of The C Programming

#include<stdio.h>
#include<conio.h>
Void main()
{
Declaration of the variable;
clrscr;
input;
process;
output;
getch();
}

Definition Of The Functions

  • #include – Preprocessive directive.
  • < > – Angle bracket
  • stdio – Standered Input/output
  • .h – Exclamation of the header file.
  • conio – console (Screen) Input/Output
  • void – Null Type
  • main() – It is a special function which denoted the starting and ending point of the program.
  • { – Opening bracess
  • } – Closing bracess
  • clrscr – It is a function which is used to clear the screen.
  • getch – This function is used to pause the screen.
